Over the years, Engage Delaney has developed and shared a number of visual templates to help engagement practitioners bring people together. We love these templates because they:
- Integrate well into multiple modes of communication and information sharing.
- Break down barriers and can be more accessible to more people.
- Demonstrate transparency.
As always, it’s important to be clear on the engagement objective that you are trying to achieve in order to be clear on the right template to use. The table below brings together strategy and execution to help you plan your next visual template. In this edition, we’ve added a new template to help secure feedback on a draft idea, concept or vision statement. Using +/Delta, the visual template includes a statement or idea for which you want to solicit feedback. You ask participants to post what they like above the line in the natural environment and what they think could be better below the line. This, like all visual methods, works well for virtual, in-person and hybrid engagement opportunities.
