This is a new IAP2 course, launched in 2024 and available to public participants in early 2025 with Engage Delaney. This course is available to anyone who has completed either:
- Fundamentals in P2 and Engagement (available after January 2023), or
- Any course from the previous Foundations programs (pre-January 2023)
Delivered in two three-hour sessions, the course introduces participants to thinking about different types of conflict and the notion of “appropriate” levels of conflict. Learn about the outrage factors which lead to conflict in engagement and then work to apply strategies to de-escalate conflict.
Engagement professionals can often feel powerless in the face of conflict in their engagement processes, but this course highlights our roles in conflict and how we can work to manage unproductive conflict.
Using real-life examples and videos and harnessing the experience of the group, join our experienced engagement professional, Jessica Delaney, to build your toolbox when it comes to navigating conflict in engagement.
