Supporting change in complex environment with people at the centre.

At Engage Delaney, we work with clients to support change management initiatives, big or small. Our focus remains on understanding not just the ultimate destination, but also the point of transition which an organization or team finds themselves in.

This may require a combination of strategic communications, internal or external engagement, coaching or mentorship, facilitation, or team building.  

Overview

In 2023, Engage Delaney supported a provincial health authority in Atlantic Canada in engaging with patients, families, staff, clinicians, community members as well as health care and community leaders to learn how high-quality maternal care services can best be sustained in the region.

Our Role

Throughout Fall 2023, Engage Delaney planned and implemented a variety of engagement opportunities including: an open online survey, interviews, a Community Leaders Forum, an in-person workshop for Indigenous community members, and four in-person workshops with patients and families as well as staff and clinicians.

As a second phase of the project, Engage Delaney worked with the client to develop and steward a clinical advisory committee (CAC). The CAC was tasked in taking the engagement findings and developing clinical and operational recommendations.

Outcomes

Supporting the CAC through this process helped to articulate the need to shift from a site-specific model of care to a more system-wide approach to the delivery of care.
