Certificate in Public Participation In-Person Training – Vancouver

Course Description

Engage Delaney is pleased to offer two in-person IAP2 Certificate programs in Vancouver in 2025:

April 28 – May 02, 2025; and

September 22 – 26, 2025.

This certificate program brings together the best public participation practices and engagement from around the world. It is 30 hours of learning over a five-day period.

To successfully complete this IAP2 Certificate program you must take the three core courses on the IAP2 Canada Learning Pathway: Fundamentals of P2 and Engagement, Designing P2 and Engagement, and Applying Methods. YOU MUST REGISTER and PAY for the full week.

Fundamentals of P2 and Engagement Course Description:

The focus of this prerequisite course is on understanding and applying the practices of meaningful and effective P2 (public participation). For more information on the Fundamentals of P2/Engagement course please click here.

Designing P2 and Engagement Course Description:

Designing P2/Engagement is a Level 2 course that introduces practitioners to the design and plan phases of the planning framework, providing them with the opportunity to develop P2/engagement plans. For more information on the Designing P2 course click here.

Applying Methods Course Description:

Applying Methods is a Level 2 course that focuses on methods (techniques) for P2 (public participation)/engagement and how to implement them successfully. For more information on the Applying Methods course click here.

Course Format:

This is a 30-hour, trainer led course over five consecutive days. This is a highly interactive and skilled based program. Each daily session runs from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time.

At 8:30 a.m. a continental breakfast will be provided. It is the perfect opportunity to meet and chat with fellow participants.

There is a one-hour lunch break. Bring your own lunch or choose from the restaurants in the area.

Cost:

$2150.00 + tax

Cancellation:

You can cancel or re-schedule a course registration with a full refund up to three weeks before the course start date. After that cancellation is subject to the entire course fee. Non-attendance without cancellation is subject to full payment. All cancellations must be in writing.

Engage Delaney requires a minimum number of participants to run an in-person course. We reserve the right to cancel a course up to two weeks prior to the course start date.
