Where does coaching fit in?

Coaching, Insights

Jessica Delaney

Having been a Certified Organizational Coach for a few months now and working with coaching clients, I feel like I am better able to describe where and how coaching can fit into a busy professional life. At Engage Delaney, we are committed to working with clients who are looking for a thought partner. A safe and confidential place to think things through, problem solve or reflect more deeply on professional topics that matter to them. We know that the personal and the professional most often can’t be separated, and we have deeply appreciated the opportunity to learn more about who our clients are, what they value and how they can work through challenges with grit and grace. Coaching is non-directive. This is not consulting. There is no advice being given, only thoughtful inquiry to help the client move forward. This is not training. The only lessons to be learned come from the clients themselves. I have seen first-hand just how powerful coaching can be to support professionals in bringing intention to their lives – at work and at home.

As we approach fall, back to school and back to routine, we wanted to share with you three coaching questions to help bring intention to the season ahead:

  1. What have you learned about yourself over the summer? How might you integrate some personal awareness into the season ahead?
  2. What’s most important to you, and how will you make time for it in the season ahead?
  3. What are the things that you could review on January 1, 2025, that you’d look back on and be proud of yourself for having worked on or achieved in fall 2024?

Wishing everyone a great season ahead, and if you are interested in exploring how coaching can help you, please email us at coach@engagedelaney.com.

We offer a 30-minute free exploration call to see if coaching with Engage Delaney might be a good fit for your coaching needs. To learn more about coaching, please visit engagedelaney.com/our-expertise/coaching/
